By far the worse experiences for city-to-city moves. They damaged my stuff for around $500 and after 2 months of no response, I got nothing. They became ghosts after they saw I claimed. Definitely not do business with these folks, once they get your money, they are gone and you are on your own! I made a big mistake working with them, lesson learned!
It’s been over a year and still no resolution.. anything of value was completely damaged and stolen. Including passports & jewelry that were locked in cabinet which was broken into. The Manager is rude and condescending. I have moved 8 times in my life and NEVER experienced such a horrible company. Stay far away from this company. They showed up in a UHaul and changed the people moving several times so it’s impossible to find out who the thieves were. Such a complete disgrace!!
I paid for my move on March 4, 2021, to lock in a date for March 31, 2021. The company after taking my money decided to give the job over to any company (Logistics Moving Company) without my permission or acknowledgment. They stated that they were unable to assist me on that date. But when I gave them my money they garnetted me they would be available. They removed the money from my account right away. I was selling my house and I had to turn the key over on 1 April 2021. I could not be at my house due to it was my closing date. I hired a lady from my church to sit and oversee them. When I arrived back home the items were all loaded up onto the truck. The driver gave me a generic form. The information did not provide any companies name or contents of the boxes or furniture. It took me a week for them to deliver my items and they were broken, damaged, and missing. They did not set up my house either. When I called the Golden men movers boss he put $150.00 back into my account explaining that he gave my shipment over to a friend and I will have to file a claim with him. I have n information on that company but the name because he requested $1,000 be given to the drive before they would offload my items. I wasn't given any claim information they paced me on hold for 1 hour she never came back to the phone. All I received was the runaround. I will be taking this company to small claims court very soon. They were very unprofessional and uncaring attitude towards my experience. As a disabled military veteran, I am overwhelmed with how they treated me as a female.
Just horrible. Unprofessional customer service.....seniors beware. They are over promise and under deliver. Jason is the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with.
I have never been spoken to so badly too by manager at company. This all started out from a quote that I was given, was mis-leading so they could get my business. I ended up paying several thousand dollars over the original quote and I was told by the manager, that I was stupid, didn't understand English, and that I must not know how to read. He was incredibly degrading and unprofessional. In the background, I could hear other reps yelling at customers. I can't believe I ended up doing business with these people. Stay away from this company, no matter what they quote you, it will be over.
Well, I've never left any reviews or any 1-star reviews in my entire life because I never want to hurt a business, but I have no choice. What this company has put my pregnant wife and family through is so sad. I'm sure others have had good experiences, but ours? Incredibly unfortunate. This review is coming from someone of extreme patience. Someone who literally does everything possible not to respond, but I have finally been pushed beyond my limit knowing my wife's safety was put at risk... It started out great. The price was fair, the gentleman who loaded our belongings into their truck for the move were great. From there, it went absolutely sideways. Upon showing up to our new home with our belongings, immediately I was caught off guard by how rude the "manager" of the group was. I can normally look past it, everyone has a bad day, but you don't need to be disrespectful. Not only that, we are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, our new home is in the state of Florida that at present time is adding 10,000+ new cases of COVID-19 daily, and despite me politely ASKING him, this "manager" was too cool for a mask (also had flip flops on and a cut off while the rest of his crew was well-dressed with uniforms and wore masks without a problem). Such poor leadership, but this is the least of the problems. From there, the group proceeded to completely break our one book shelf into pieces. They smashed of the leg to one of our dresses leaving it useless. Upon putting together the frame for our bed, they decided it was fine to leave out the middle bar (and by the way the last piece to the frame was laying right there next to the bed so it wasn't as if they didn't have it). Please see the attached photo. My wife is 7 months pregnant... I'm not sure they realize how unsafe they left this. And now we are supposed to try and move this kingsize mattress ourselves and rebuild the bed ourselves? When we hired this company for that service? It's been over 5 weeks and while claiming they would send someone to fix it, they never did. They also never bothered to build our kitchen table and we were curious why they just left without doing it (it was chaotic so we didn't notice until they left) and it turns out it is because they managed to completely LOSE the legs to our kitchen table. Rather than letting us know this they scooted away without mention. After just over a month of hounding them as we ate meals in our brand new home as a family sitting on the floor or trying to find a spot because we had no kitchen table, we remained patient and didn't purchase one because they assure us they were coming. After this month, and it was legit a full entire month of asking them, where our legs were (they kept claiming they had them, but needed to "send them" to us), finally they showed up. They were completely broken. 3 of the 4 legs were broken in half. Wow, thanks so much guys! The only response we got from there was a couple text messages saying we should fill out the 3rd party claim form. So do you also want us to fill out a 3rd party claim form about not putting together our bed and leaving parts of it laying next to it? What about a claim form for saying you would send someone to fix it and never sending them? How about one for the disrespect we were showed during the move in process? I guess we can fill out the claim form for the broken dresser, broken book shelf and broken kitchen legs that took 5 weeks to show up, and showed up useless continuing to leave us in a position of being unable to use them. We finally just had to buy a brand new kitchen table (we all know those aren't the cheapest), build it all ourselves, and left back at square one -- all this after being put through such turmoil in trying to ask this company what was the status and what was going on? It's sad it came to this and I felt I needed to write this review, because I mean I could have written it the last 5 weeks, but yet I tried to hold out. I don't like doing this... but when it gets to the point of feeling complete disrespect, I was left with no choice.
We enjoys meeting and helping people every day. The is in charge of hiring and training our Movers and Drivers and he uses his vast experience with the company to ensure all employees are conducting moves according to our stringent processes. Your crew was friendly, efficient and and very knowledgeable. They reassembled furniture including a grandfather clock and handled my mother in laws antiques with care and Percision. They were eager to be helpful even when we changed the positions of the furniture. Having One service moving and storage was very convenient.
The Golden Movers Team assigned to my moving project was terrific. Five well-mannered and highly professional men did an excellent job of moving out all of my possessions. They moved many heavy pieces of furniture throughout the house and down a set of switch-back stairs without incident. I look forward to receiving the same great treatment and high-level of service when delivery to my new home is made.
