I had to postpone my move for several months. Now I am ready to schedule it, but when I tried to call them, my number was BLOCKED! I then tried to email them, and again I was BLOCKED. That is terrible, terrible service! Stay away from them! If I could get a reason they are blocking me, that would be great. Unfortunately, I can't communicate with them at all. If you use this company, you are risking them cutting all communications off with you. I would stay far away from them.
My mother has driven 2000 miles to pick up her mother call this company to have them move her they gave them a quote ask for deposit got the deposit and hasn't shown up yet they were supposed to have been there today and they never showed up they are going to get what they deserve
Tierney Van Lines in an unscrupulous brokerage masquerading as a moving company. If you value your possessions and your hard earned money I would avoid dealing with this company at all cost. At first contact Marcel from Tierney misrepresented this company and straight out lied when I asked if they would be moving my daughter’s belongings themselves or contracting with someone else. He assured me they had new beautiful trucks that would be moving her possessions. He offered us great discounts and promised to help get all deposits back if the move was cancelled due to the pandemic. My daughter signed the contract and we paid our first deposit of $728. We quickly learned Marcel is not the only liar at Tierney. The week of the move Eric contacted us to finalize our inventory and at this point we realized that Marcel left out a large number of items discussed during the initial call (for example he only listed mattresses for our 2 queen beds leaving off the headboards, frames and box springs). Eric informed us that we needed more than twice the space which more than doubled our quote. He said they required an additional $1000 for a deposit. At this point I asked Eric if the additional money had been withdrawn from my account and he said no that he was waiting for the modified contract to be signed and returned. Eric was then informed that we would not be signing the new contract and that Hell would freeze over before we used Tierney to move My daughters possessions. I knew at this point that I would be forfeiting the initial deposit but it was worth it to be done with these horrible scammers. Well imagine my surprise when a few weeks I was balancing my checking and discovered Tierney removed the additional $1000 from account with my authorization. We might not be lawyers but I do know that a modified contract has to be agreed upon by both parties. Tierney is now refusing to return the additional $1000. We have made several phone calls to their “Customer Service” department and have received zero answers. I have been told numerous times they had they to talk to their managers, they will not give me their managers names or numbers, they will not return phone calls, I was told I should have figured out by now that since they aren’t returning my calls I won’t get a refund, I was told the owner would be calling to discuss our account when he was in the office but that he is out indefinitely due to the pandemic and the list goes on. I have filed a case with the BBB and rejected their first resolution which was to give me a credit to be used in the next 24 months for a move. Also, as I said we are not lawyers but we do have a couple in the family so we are looking into a legal action. After reading all these other cases where people have lost much more than me I consider myself lucky. I just wish there had been more reviews when Tierney first contacted me.
Tierney trains their employees to lie to you and tell you whatever you want to hear just to pressure you into a quick commit to a low balled quote. After falling for this tactic and paying our initial deposit of $728 we were then told the week of our move that our inventory now required twice the space and an additional $1000 deposit. Realizing this company was nothing but a bunch of scammers we cancelled our contract. Eric, big liar, told us the additional deposit would not be removed from our account until we signed the modified contract so imagine my surprise when I discovered the money was removed from my checking account the day after our scheduled move without a signed revised contract. Since then I have spoken to several morons in their so call customer service department only to be told time and time again they will talk to their manager and call me back. At this point Tierney has been paid $1728 for doing absolutely nothing. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and we are looking into legal action. If you work hard for your money and value your possession I would keep on scrolling to the next mover. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE TIERNEY!
This company sub contracts their work and does not inform the customer. My move from Illinois to Florida has been a nightmare! My items.were picked up August 29 by two men in a budget rental truck! The cost was immediately increased $950. I have not to date recieved my things!!! I have made numerous calls to Tierney and Insync movers with no satisfaction. If you are foolish enough to hire these people you will absolutely be sorry!!
NO STARS Recently relocated to GA to NC and used Tierney Van Lines that basically passed my HHGs to a substandard subcontracted moving services AMERICAN HOME RELOCATION, MOVING SERVICES, LLC, DAVID AND GOLIATH OWNER ELI ........ who is very unprofessional and rude. Prior to paying the deposit: I asked the Tierney CSR direct questions The Movers work directly working for Tierney, Does Tierney use day laborers and the Tierney CSR Ronnie Walker assured me that was not the case. I signed and paid the first deposit to Tierney Van lines, who did NOT inform me that they were going to subcontract my move. On 9/11, 3 people showed up at the end of the the loading, the driver expected me to pay him directly. At this time I became confused. I search to my emails to see if Tierney has sent any additional instructions to validate this could not find any I called repeatedly and and could not get an answer. That Monday when I contacted Tierney's CSR, I got passed off to numerous CSRs that did not provide any resolution. Later that day a female by the name of Tina from Moving Services, LLC 1800 Montreal Court Tucker GA called me to make a full payment over the phone and when I asked her what the name of the company she got very rude. More Calls and emails went out to Tierney Van lines, they remained un responsive. On Friday, 25 September, I was then contacted by a Brandon requesting my financial information for $4111, before they would give dates option for when I can have my items delivered. When I asked him, what company was he calling from he put me on hold, he didn't even know then he came back with Moving Sources. When I questioned this, the Tina person came back on the line with an attitude. My questions are reasonable and I have the right to receive this information, this is when I became irritated. When I informed miss Tina that I was about to call the Dekalb County and city police of Tucker Georgia, she told me that the police could not help me and hung up and again called an email Tierney Van Lines, who once again ignore my concerns. I have emails of my correspondence to Tierney Van Lines and the few from them not addressing the issue. This is what I sent to all the Tierney email contacts and American Home Whatever. "Please email me with the 2nd payment amount and the date options for delivery. Please include the following information. 1) the registered number with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) 2) the business name and accounting number 3) financial institution for your company A Tierney CSR provided me with this information just to find out that American Home Resources whatever has several names. I am now sitting in my residence out of 5700$ for a One Bedroom Apartment and cannot get any help from NO ONE. I have to got to find and pay another local service to take the rest of my bedroom upstairs. I cannot find the legs to my chair and sofa ; missing 3 Sterilite heavy duty totes containing dishes and cups, hardware to put furniture together and cords for my electronics, multiple items are damaged and or missing. The sad and pitiful part of this is that I am not the only one. These Companies uses the " VANLINES Title/ Brand " which WAS a trusted name in the moving business. These reviews are numerous because, not any of us that have been victimized by AMERICAN HOME whatever .......DO NOT KNOW of its existence until these experiences. So the word is out TOO LATE! Why doesn't the VAN LINES Brand do something about these unethical business practices? The RESPONSIBILTY is on TIERNEY VAN LINES, they should have informed me prior to my deposit that they were going to sub contract.
