As a route sales Business owner. I was servicing a local store Big Lots with name brand bread products. As I was stocking the shelves with my product I happened to overhear a customer who was in need of someone to deliver her sofa she had purchased in the same store. Realizing that I could help her I offered to deliver her sofa for her free of charge since I was going in the same direction. After I got home that night I started reflecting on what I had done that day. Realizing Big Lots was in need of a delivery person. The next day I spoke with the manager of the store and soon there after became their exclusive delivery person. After several months and speaking with many different customers who had purchased furniture I realized that some of the customers wanted more than just one item delivered, in fact some of them needed their entire house re-located. Soon thereafter I hired additional help to cover the route sales while I pursued starting a moving company. Smooth Moves was born.
