Safe, professional, and friendly service. They arrived promptly and worked efficiently to move our belongings over 50mi (one way) to our new home. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with moving needs.

    This is a scam, please be careful. The company offered me $300 not to post this review, but I felt an obligation to inform people that this company is one step away from being a scam. This company breached our contract multiple times throughout the moving process, starting with Day 1 and ending with a late delivery including 8 damaged items. Watch out for their sales person, Neil, who lied about the delivery timeframe and process in order to get me to sign the contract. Without telling you in advance, this company will subcontract your long distance move to a different company called MoveOn that has 2 stars on Yelp, 80+ complaints with Better Business Bureau, an unresponsive staff led by a woman named Michelle, and drivers who are unreliable, lie, and pretend not to speak any English to avoid taking responsibility for issues during the move. There are too many issues to list here, but I communicated each one to the movers directly so they are well aware and I will list the biggest issues below to give you an idea of what you could expect with this company. Once the below issues occurred, the sales person Neil stopped answering my phone calls and texts. All in all, it took 2 months for my belongings to arrive on my west-to-east coast move, but Neil told me 2-10 days on the phone. They cited covid and busy season as a reason for the delays, but breaching a contract for any reason without appropriate compensation to the customer is a breach of the law. $300 is not appropriate compensation considering the fact that I had to pay $1040 out of pocket due to their breaches of contract. I had to pay $300 out of pocket to rearrange my schedule to accommodate their late pickup, another $550 to repair/replace the damages they caused to my furniture, $100 to replace the piano stand they lost, and they also owe me $90 in late fees. This does not include my hourly rate for the time spent on the phone to them over the past 2 months. In retrospect, it would have been much better to pay the extra $1k to go with Gentle Giant, as it would have been about the same cost with zero stress and 100% professionalism! I hope that this review helps prevent the same financial loss and stress i went through for someone else. Please, do not listen to a word this company says. Each employee - Neil, Diane, Cherry, Kristina, plus Michelle from MoveOn, and Dave Lee III from their “independent legal counsel” - will tell you anything on the phone to get you to stop pressuring them for clear answers, and then you’ll never hear from them again. I expect their response to this review will include more lies- possibly about how things are different now, how they have since “changed management,” covid caused so many issues and this usually doesn’t happen, how they’ll never hire that subcontractor again, they tried XYZ to make it right, or XYZ was my fault, etc. Do not listen to any of it. Choose a different company, or do the move yourself. You can see from the other reviews posted here and on Yelp that my experience is not an anomaly, but their standard business practice. List of issues: 1) The driver arrived four hours after the original window of 9am-11am PT. During the waiting period, the driver called me once to demand a "1.5 hour lunch break" before he could pick up my stuff, and then was unreachable for 2 hours despite multiple texts and calls. 2) I had to pay my on-site person $300 to stay at PODS during the additional wait time because of the driver's tardiness and lack of communication. 3) I watched over FaceTime as the movers threw my possessions into the truck to complete the job before PODS closed. My belongings may be damaged. 4) With half of my belongings still waiting to be put in the moving truck, I watched over FaceTime as the driver approached my on-site person with the signoff contract and said to him, "I want to leave, you want to leave, just sign this and we can all go." 5) At no point during the move was any inventory captured. Due to their tardiness of arriving just before my storage facility closed (information I had given them multiple times and put in the contract), I had no choice but to go with it. 6)My latest possible delivery window was missed, and my belongings arrived late with no compensation given to me. 7. My belongings showed up 1.5 months after they were picked up which is 3 days past our contract’s latest delivery date. 8. Eight of my belongings were damaged (photos attached). 9. Some of the items that were damaged beyond repair include a $450 West Elm wood secretary and a $100 glass artwork frame. I am also missing my $100 piano stand.

      Northern Moving System unlike any other moving company is quite an easy deal for your tight pockets. They charged me fairly low for the amazing service they provided during my last relocation. All my valuables were safely and timely moved to my new house. Surprisingly they didn’t charge anything extra in the end. I have no issues if you want to spend a fortune just on a moving company. But it's wise to think 2 before spending your money.

        I have used many moving companies in the past and I always tried different movers because none of those companies were able to meet my demands. But just a week ago Northern Moving System proved that they have the qualities that I was looking in my mover. They were assigned to pack and move all my belongings. They have accomplished the task in record time and delivered everything without a hitch. Their service was just flawless and price was better than most of the companies. Thanks.

          I have moved a lot over the years and these guys were by far the best movers I have had yet. They were professional, very quick, efficient and extremely careful with all of my furniture. I would recommend Northern Moving System to anyone and will be using them in the future for the rest of my moves.
