New Planet Moving was an absolute joy to work with. They were organized, punctual, and courteous throughout the entire process. They handled our house goods with care. I would definitely use them again if and when I move!

We had New Planet moving move us out of our home and store our items for 3 months. Once our new home was ready they moved us in. Both moving crews were excellent and all of our items returned in perfect condition. They were punctual and respectful of our items & home. Thank you, New Planet!

They are a broker. They find a moving company for you and then charge you double what you would have paid if you found it on your own. I wouldn’t recommend you use them if you want to save yourself of headaches.

At first, I was planning on moving my stuff down to Florida myself. I don’t have all that many things and was expecting a moving company cost to be astronomical. I put my information online, and was immediately contacted by New Planet Moving. I was surprised at how affordable the estimate was for, and after a few days of wondering what to do I decided it would be easier to have a company do it for me rather than drive a truck myself. The movers were great - Very cordial and professional. I was nervous about things being damaged but everything was pretty much exactly as I left it. I was concerned about how long it would be for delivery based on some other reviews but New Planet continued to call me and let me know exactly where the truck was throughout the week. I don’t plan on moving anytime soon, but if I do I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend!

I wouldn't wish this moving company on my worst enemy. They were TERRIBLE. If I could give negative stars, I would. STAY AWAY!!!!~ Summary: They over promise, under deliver, and over charge. They broke essentially every aspect of the moving contract (pick up, delivery, cost). They tried to charge $1600 because they wanted to bring in a large truck that wouldn't fit on any street that is less than 4 lanes wide, even though the "smaller" truck they used was plenty large for our items (it was only half full when they were done packing our things). HERE"S THE LONG STORY: When shopping around for moving companies, they were extremely friendly and promised me the world. They said my stuff would be delivered within 5-10 days. I provided them with all my items and they gave me a quote by weight and said there would be a 70 cents/lbs for any overage. I was VERY careful of what I packed (selling heavier items) and weighed all my cardboard boxes and looked up the weights of all my furniture from the manufacture to make sure I knew what to expect cost-wise. I had them scheduled to pick up on a Friday/Saturday window. I called them on Monday to confirm that they would be coming in 4-5 days, they said, "We need to come tomorrow or else we won't be able to pick up your items until next month." On top of the early pick up, the 5-10 day deliver window was actually going to be a 21 days window (surprise!)...and the delivery window date doesn't start when they pick up your items, it starts when you actually want your items. As some may know, moving companies are scheduled way in advance, and I didn't really have any other option besides to stick with them and frantically pack through the night to be ready for them the next day. The movers showed up on Tuesday, wrapped up our furniture, and said they would be back on Wednesday morning (8am) to pick up all the items. Well....for those of you who work, that is now TWO unexpected, unplanned days that were you would need to take off work. On top of the unexpected schedule change, the movers also said: " SURPRISE, you know how we said we were going to charge by weight, now we're going to charge by volume. These small boxes (labeled small) from home depot are really considered medium boxes via our inventory sheet so you have to now pay $2000 more than you originally planned. (Just FYI: Our original quote was $3800.) Also, you know how we looked on google map for your house and said you probably don't need a shuttle (a small truck to move stuff to a big truck), now you do and that will be another $800 for each side of the move (total $1600). {Remember...all our stuff fit in their "small 2000 cubic ft truck"...we only had 1000 cubic ft worth of items]. " So I called the company EVERY SINGLE DAY for a week and they refused to do anything about the fact that they violated their contract in every single way until I threatened to report them to the BBB. All of a sudden I was talking to the manager, Moses, and he said he would go by the weight instead of by volume as the contract stated (if I had known it was by volume, I would have packed my items differently. i.e. not used wardrobe boxes and actually packed more densely). He came back saying my items weighted 6800 lbs (even though I KNEW my items only weighed 5500 lbs MAX...because I literally weighed EVERYTHING)...so now it was my word against his, but he had all my things so my hands were tied. He ended up charging me 7000 lbs for items, because he "already gave me a discount on the shuttle fee for a small truck." I'm not sure where the 6800 lbs even came from, maybe they had other people's things in the truck or they weighed it with all the moving supplies and a team of movers. Our furniture and items were picked up 10 days before our cars were picked up (Illinois to California), but some how our cars made it to California before our furniture and items. When our items were finally delivered, many pieces of furniture were damaged/broken (about 50 percent). Plastic items were mutated, wooden legs were broken off, table tops and dressers were scratched, cracked, and chipped, metal shelves were missing pieces making them un-assemble-able. On top of that, they brought in items that did not belong to us...some poor people are missing boxes that ended up in our apartment. When I brought up the stranger's boxes and the broken furniture, it didn't seem to faze the company one bit (seems like it happens quite often). BOTTOM LINE: Only use this company if you want to be lied to, your time devalued, your furniture and items damaged, and all the while pay 50%+ more than you originally expected. STAY WAY!!!!!!
