I made an excellent move a month ago. They arrived with a truck on time and they were ready to roll. I already packed my stuff into boxes; they just needed to wrap the furniture items. They loaded up the truck and we were off to our new building. Our new apartment is on the 3rd floor with no lift or elevator. Each time movers had to take stairs, lifting some heavy items too but they never complained and didn't take a single break until we were all done. They are efficient and hardworking. I couldn't have asked for more.
I am very pleased they arrived on time with the tools needed to dismantle furniture for transport. We were concerned that they might have difficulty with several large items but they managed with ease. The crew members are polite and professional. No moaning we moved from a first floor flat to a three storey house, lots of stairs. Fast response to our initial inquiry. I would recommend and would use Kangaroo van lines again.
Kangaroo van lines moved us two weeks ago and they were fantastic. The movers were professional, polite and very hardworking. These guys did a great job from beginning to end. Hassle free quote that was very competitive. Great communication leading up to the move. They called to let us know when they'd be there. All 4 men were friendly and courteous but most importantly they knew what they were doing. They had an attention to detail and made quick work of our move. There were no bad surprises from a payment standpoint and they took very good care of our things. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again myself for my next move. Thanks again for all of your help.
This is simply the most wonderful and pleasing moving experience I have ever had. I really wonder why I did not see them before making my past movers. The movers ensured that I did not even handle a pin while they catered for every aspect of the move. I give them a high recommendation for the perfect job they did. Since moving is an important activity given all your belongings are on line, you will want to give it the best shot each time you move. Kangaroo van lines provided a remarkable service to us and therefore we will continue hailing them for the job they did. I have already recommended them to a lot of my friends and will keep recommending them because of their excellent services.
If you have a bunch of garbage that needs moving, this is your moving company! However, if you have anything that you value in ANYWAY stay away at all costs! My story is a lengthy one and I will try to summarize as best I can. I feel like I did my due diligence and research before booking this company yet I still got completely screwed. Upon booking, I spoke to a gentleman named Mark. He was professional, thorough and helped put my mind at ease. I told him my main concerns were not only my valuables reaching their destinations safe and sound but also to not be one of the horror stories that you read about where the moving company hold your items hostage and states that you know them more money. He assured me that if we had an accurate list of all of my items, this simply would not be a problem. We spent several hours compiling my list. I had an exact count of how many boxes and what sizes as well as how many pieces of furniture with measurements and the heavier items had an approximate weight. On the day the movers came to pick up, The manager did a walk-through with the list and said that everything looks accurate. However after 75% of my items were loaded onto the truck, we were one day away from needing to be out of our house, and it was already 9:30 at night, they decided to tell me that I have gone over my allotted space and would have to charge me several grand more!!! It took many hours more of arguing with several managers until they finally agreed to not charge me more due to the mis-measurement being the fault of their company, not my inventory list. They loaded the remainder of my items and around 1130 at night finally left. My items were going to go into their storage facility until we were ready to move into our new home. The next morning we woke up and saw the aftermath of the move. They left enough trash in my house and in the yard to fill half of my outdoor trash cans. Not only that, I found water bottles filled with urine tossed into my planters even though I told all the movers they could use the house restrooms. (Pictured) Next comes the delivery of my items. The moving truck shows up and starts unloading. As my items start rolling off the truck, I am in disbelief as just about every single piece is either scratched damaged or completely ruined. The list of items that came off the truck damaged is too long to even mention however the most jaw-dropping piece was my safe. An item that should be indestructible. When the safe left my first house, it was wrapped and placed upright in the truck. When it showed up, it was laid on its side with no protection. (Pictured) They simply laid it directly on the floor of the moving truck and let it bounce around for 700 miles. The paint on the outside was completely ruined and due to it being laid on its side the inner mechanisms were no longer lock making a $4000 safe completely unusable. (Pictured) And to put the icing on the cake, the moving company did not prepare their movers with the appropriate tools to offload an almost 800 pound safe. An item that I actually had to pay extra for them to move safely. Instead they had to use MY floor dollies to try and get this giant item off their truck. (Pictured) This is just a description of one of many many items of mine that came off that truck destroyed. Almost all of my boxes that were labeled fragile, or crushed beyond belief. (Pictured) Also, there are several items that never even made it. They’ve simply disappeared. To give you an idea of the extent of the damage to everything, I had to put a claim in against my homeowners insurance for over $20,000 in damages. So consider yourself warned. When you call to book them, they will make you feel extremely comfortable and put your mind at ease. Moving is never easy however Kangaroo Van Lines made it a complete nightmare for us.
DO NOT USE KANGAROO VAN LINES. I would rather write good recommendations vice poor ones. I went through entire process with this company and completed their moving claim process and never again. Claims process informed me to get in touch with company they wouldn't call me back. The moving company uses a 3rd party to deliver goods. The driver was a contractor and he hired local help to move our belongings. The folks were not even bonded. Broke our tv charges double on the shuttle fee when the binding agreement had another fee. Again DO NOT USE this company
